Croatian water polo players and INA for the SOS Children’s Village Selo Lekenik

Zoltán Áldott, Board president of Ina, the official partner of the European Water Polo Championship, and Perica Bukić, the president of the Croatian Water Polo Federation and president of the Organization Committee of the European Water Polo Championship in Zagreb, symbolically marked their cooperation on the occasion of the European Water Polo Championship by signing a ball at INA’s gas station on Miramarska Street on Thursday, August 26.

Notice to photo reporters accredited for the Zagreb 2010

The Press Center of the European Water Polo Championship in Zagreb would like to use this opportunity to inform all the photo reporters accredited for the EC about a meeting to be moderated by Mr. Giorgio Scala on Sunday, August 29 at 2pm, in the premises of the Press Center at the Mladost pool.

The final schedule of the photo reporters’ positions and work during the water polo EC will be made.

LEN’s press conference and “Century of Croatian Water Polo” book promotion

On Saturday, August 28, 2010, at noon, a press conference will be held in the Sheraton Hotel in Zagreb by LEN president Nory Kruchten and EC Zagreb 2010 Organizational Committee president Perica Bukić.

Following the press conference, a small ceremony will take place to present the “Century of Croatian Water Polo” book, by several sport journalists who have been covering the sport for decades, published by the Croatian Water Polo Federation.

Milorad Damjanić picks 13 players for EC

Croatian women’s water polo team coach Milorad Damjanić has picked the 13 players to represent Croatia at the coming EC in Zagreb.

Croatia’s squad will include: Nataša Anđelić, Aida Šehić, Emmi Miljković, Ana Gavran, Maja Kalauz, Mia Šimunić, Lucija Drobac, Josipa Šupraha, Andrea Artukovich, Blaženka Staničić, Majda Zekan, Karmela Tvrdić, and Ana Marija Reić Kranjac.

The remaining 5 girls – Irena Barišić, Eva Ravnić, Luce Topić, Katarina Majlat, Andreja Premuš , and Dina Lordan – will stay by the team by the end of the championship, as support the team from the stands.
